Stuck Garage Doors

The first thing you'll want to do is to see if you can simply disconnect your door from the track that's connected to the motor which lifts the door up and down. On many systems, right where the door connects to the central motor track via a metal arm, there will be a 1 to 2 foot cord hanging down off the track. A forceful tug on this cord should release the door from this central track. So long as your side tracks or roller wheels aren't damaged you should now be able to manually lift and close the door.
